February
2007 - Richmond
Oak Conservatories

Built from seaoned
oak this conservatory was built on a incline and
designed to give the effect of an elevated glass
room towering over mature gardens. Used as a breakfast/
relaxation room, the windows were designed to rise
from the floor upwards over 2.5 metres high to
compliment the fall into the gardens.
The entire superstructure
was built from the highest quality air dried oak
and naturally oiled so the exterior will grey and
silver and age into the property, whilst the interior
will remain like a furniture finish. The roof contains
heat reflective glass and low maintenance aluminium
roof cappings.
Originally, the client
felt that they experienced very little light from
the side of the house that the oak conservatory
is now sited. The oak conservatory was the perfect
remedy and has now become the main room in the
house for dining, relaxation and entertainment.

space for your suburban home or a clever addition
to a city pied à terre, our design and
craft experience turns your vision into a reality.
