Double-Height
Conservatory
Stephen and Eva Morris
had a double-height conservatory built on to their
low-eaved bungalow. They chose Anglian as they
had used the home improvements company before to
have French doors fitted. Anglian were able to
provide the Morrises with a unique and innovative
solution as every conservatory is made to order,
in which the span and pitch can be varied to suit
specific requirements.
The result – an
airy conservatory with a roof that Stephen estimates
is more than 12ft tall – is exactly what
the couple wanted, without compromising the look
of the bungalow.
“I just
love it; I love the open space,” says
Eva. “I’ve always liked the feel
of conservatories – the way you can sit
and view the garden when it’s a lovely
sunny day, but too cold to be outside, or too
wet.”

April
2008 - T&K
Home Improvements Ltd

A large and
stylish conservatory
A large and stylish
conservatory that would double as a very elaborate
multipurpose room. The client needed a conservatory
that would allow them to enjoy their garden and
surroundings, hold their numerous family gatherings,
and be perfect for the occasional party too!
They want a conservatory
to span across the entire width of the house, tying
in the existing sliding patio doors and the back
door. He was also hoping to remove the kitchen
window in order to create a breakfast bar. Because
of the scale and complexity of the structure, along
with the size of their financial investment, it
was clear that the company chosen to undertake
the work would need to provide a quality product
compatible with the current products in their home,
and have the necessary installation experience
and expertise to cope with such a large project.
In addition, the company would have to manage the
building of the conservatory in a way that would
enable the client to continue their busy lives,
relatively unaffected.

March
2008 - Trentham
Garden Conservatories Ltd

The Secret
Garden
Traditional Orangery
built within the courtyard of a new imposing property
in Cheshire. The design was required to blend with
the original architecture matching the Georgian
sash windows and was illustrated for the client
in the hand painted watercolour by our artist “Billy”.
The splendid view
from the new Orangery across the large garden which
falls away to a small river and open countryside
was further enhanced by stepping the front elevation
forward by 780mm with French Doors, paneled below
that open back over the side panels. The 500mm
deep moulded fasia outlines the framework and reflects
the style of this outstanding home. The Glazed
Lantern was formed with 6 metre Timber Laminated
Glulam Beams shown in the Build-in-Progress images.
Ventilation is provided
by two double roof vents with fully automatic temperature
controls and rain sensors.
